Regulatory references

Legislative Decree no. 116 of 3 September 2020, which implements EU Directive 2018/851 on waste and Directive (EU) 2018/852 on packaging and packaging waste, was published in the Official Gazette on 11 September 2020. The decree introduces the obligation of environmental labelling for all packaging placed on the market in Italy.

Ministerial Decree no. 360 of 28 September 2022, which adopts the Guidelines on environmental labelling pursuant to art. 219, paragraph 5, of Legislative Decree no. 152 of 3 April 2006, was published on 21 November 2022. The document follows the content of the CONAI Guidelines for mandatory environmental labelling of packaging.

DISPOSAL OF OUR WINE PACKAGING

The following instructions apply to all Colline del Vento wines: Brennas Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, ‘Entu Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, C'Alma Orange and Zankitai Pet Nat Orange.

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE

Since 1 January 2023, all packaging placed on the market in Italy must carry instructions on how to dispose of it correctly. This is not a choice — it is a legal requirement (Legislative Decree 116/2020 and Ministerial Decree 360/2022). This page gives the specific instructions for Colline del Vento wine packaging.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF THE PACKAGING

Once the bottle is finished, don't throw everything away together:

  • Glass bottle (GL 72) → separate glass collection
  • Cork stopper (FOR 51) → separate wood/organic collection (varies by municipality — check with your local provider)
  • Aluminium capsule (ALU 41) → separate metal collection
